It just comes down to what each individual person thinks is reasonable and in my post above that is what I think is reasonable. You have a different opinion which from what Serp said makes this game alot more interesting and not only about number crunching!

I had a dictator with high weapons/military strat tech attack me last reset with under a week remaining in the set and take 4-5k acres. This wasn't even a retal and at the time of the attack he had 20k less land than me. I didn't do anything because I wanted to see where I would finish in my first primary set since the 90's. I would never do anything like that guy did to you or what happened to me.

I just feel that if the person you attacked can catch up with you NW wise and not by having a crazy jet/turret ratio WHILE both countries are still growing/not stocking then they have every right to make a retal regardless of the land difference.
Just my personal opinion, which of course means nothing in determining what another country may or may not do.

Like everyone has said in this thread everyone has their own retal/go to war policies.
I just don't feel that if you make a landgrab on a country with a slower starting strat, knowing they can't hit you back in the next couple of days or a week that you should be immune to retals further in the reset if that country catches up with you. If that were the case, CI's could hit any farmer or anyone doing a tech start without fearing any retals at the beginning of every set.

To Cable - It is funny just how different our policies are. Because you are more inclined to go war over a retal after 72 hours whereas I would be more inclined to go to war over a country that bought or produced all jets and has a 3 or 4 to 1 jet/turret ratio just to do a retal.

Just to clarify, the topfeed did delay the retal, but i looked to retal on 3 separate occasions before the topfeed and couldn't at all or couldn't without cashing almost all of my turns.

Was not at all trying to be a prick in delaying it as long as it got delayed.

The country that topfed ran all jets for all his turns and didnt even sell anything after word to run his turns the next day. He has less built land than what he had before he top fed and its is going to cost 300 mil to destroy the acres he took and build them. On top of that we lost 700k units attacking each other....just doesn't make any sense for an unprovoked attacked

Ye that was me. First primary set since earth2025 almost 15 years ago so ill take it!
