It is my undrstanding that all these bonuses (weap, govt, PS) affect the max amount of allied support received but not the power of that support.

Eg 100 jets sent SS with only 150% weap bonus, can have a max allied support of 150 jets equiv. Those allied jets do not fight at 150% strength however. Max is therefore 300 jets equiv.

Weapons and government affect how much offense your allies can lend.
That offense is then added to yours and multiplied by 1.5 bonus for planned strikes.

That is what the wiki implies, however jftouhli said he had tested it and got some unexpected bounces. i did pm slagpit about it but got no response.

I guess we have to do some controlled tests in express or ffa to figure it all out..

The bounces were from me sending too close I think, like only 5-10% over and could also have been affected by an opponents luck. I've attacked enough using these formulas for me to believe them.

so jabberwocky, you're saying it is correct as stated by blid, that allied forces get PS bonus?

...and that we should not forget the 10% mehul lucky day factor.
