does anyone know the impact to the explore returns of the luck bonus? It just says that it increases explore returns, and thats about it.

Yes -- But whats the impact? If I have 5% in luck, does that mean that I get my regular explore return (say 10 acres) multiplied by 5%, for a total of 10.5/acres/turn?

From what i gather it works out to be a 10.5 explore rate

When you explore and it says 10 acres per turn you might get 8,9,10,11,12 etc etc

So in their forumulas for missiles and explore they have a random fact. It increase the random factor positively by 5%.

I know that the admins posted somewhere about something like: missiles have a huge random factor, therefore getting 5% luck wont result in a clear 5% more missiles.

Alright -- Thank you. Im thinking that maybe sinking bonus' into luck was not such a good idea. At least with turns or the positive effect bonus, you can know 100% the impact.

luck is permanent bonus although its benefits are "bit" hard to see, if you don't like luck then building costs, defense or expenses is good option or just turns.

Use the permanent bonuses early in the set since they benefit the entire set.

Which one is actually most beneficial... Depends on the server and play style. Eg if ur going to 10k acres the building cost one is a waste, but if ur going to 40k acres then sure get building cost. Or if ur in alliance server and run low military then u dont really need expense bonus, but if ur an indi then u prob want the expense bonus.

etc etc
So use logic and you can figure out whats best for your style

you can invest few days points to luck but I don't see benefit investing all bonus-points on it.

so.. the alliance reset has ended and I have one thought.

In the alliance server, if your going to go all-explore, the luck bonus does increase the explore rates. However, i'm not convinced that its any better than investing in 100% resource decay (for a casher), and then going for turns or building costs.

ok.. so fast forward the post to 2 hours from now and alliance is over. It was meant as a generalization.

and yes.. my post was not meant to ask if Luck effected explore, but, that I'm not sure that the total effect of luck is any better than some of the other bonus' on the alliance server, after investing in luck for about a month's worth of bonus'.

test it at ffa, 1 country invests to luck, 2nd to something else and 3rd to 3rd bonus etc

extra turns at start and later when your country is fully running then boom bonuses and permanent bonuses, if you are techer and not gonna do mbr-switch then extra turns mostly.

Navisis: but cashers can avoid resource decay with bushels relatively trivially...

i figured if i invest in luck, beyond about 20kA it should turn into about 100A per day extra, which isn't much, but is also non-trivial

well, if each acre gives I dunno.. ~500/cash/turn, then those 100 acres is an extra 4m per day, growing exponentially as the 100acres per day compounds.. thats for sure not trivial.

However, in alliance or any other longer term server, resource decay hits 100% in week 5 or so? from that point on, you don't have to take a loss on the bushels your buying each day for 40/45/50 that your going to eventually de-stock at 34/35.

With that in mind.. whats better? .. depends on your stock?

lol i think your doing it wrong, accounting for population growth, spy production, and random factors, you only really need to have 2 turns of food on you at any one time while yes this is time consuming it is also very effecient, and realistically you will never need decay reduction, unless you intend to stock cash and go way over 2bill that is the only way it could help you.

and if by week 5 you have 100% reduction, you are then missing out on 120 turns which is about 800 land, somthing that needlessly stocking cash cant reproduce, just my two cents

If i had to chose i would go PM increase in the second month, and mostly turns in the first month...

Its not very efficient if you're exploring. Batch exploring will get you way more land than exploring 1 turn at a time - well more than 800 acres of difference, in fact.

Also, it takes way too much time playing that way.
