say im 210% of normal in agr tech and am around 2500 acres with around 1800 res. labs and i destroy them to convert nto farms do i lose research percentage or do i lose on xplore/succcessful lg's? is there a way to calculate this?

Your tech percentage drops as your land increases. How you've built your land has no bearing.

what diz said, you need to buy more techs everytime after you have done batchexplore or landgrabbed some1 to keep your tech% high.

Oh lol so that's why every time I go to buy tech, its always lower then before. Lol I'm such a noob.

You basically need the same "X tech points per acres" to maintain the same "Y%" tech for any tech, so its a linear growth with your land size.

Tech points to Tech% is on a diminishing formula though, you need more and more tech points to raise 1% on the same amount of land.

and last % to max costs alot, more than 98% to 99%.
