i understand why people pronounce abreviations as if they were going to pronounce the entire word or phrase but it just sounds silly.

I once met up with some folks that used to play this game in New York a time or two, and in Richmond another time.

I met Ench in New York, I met Patience in Richmond, Viper in Richmond, and damn, I can't remember his name right now. Crap, I'm usually so good with names too.

I never realized Patty or Viper were in Richmond. The last thing I did was when the Omega folks were all in DC maybe 7 or 8 years ago now. Mentar, Alicia, Alena (ok she was IX), and a few others all came by and we did a round of minigolf in the 104 degree heat.

TAN's brother took the pic! He played earth, apparently, for a set or two, so he wasn't completely out of the loop.

My brother took the pic. He played in Paradigm for half a set before he got bored with the game, so I guess you could almost call him an Earther.

Slip is also in Chicago, but I never see him around anywhere.

And by Detmer being dictator, I meant that saying someone is "president" (of any alliance) is usually pretty misleading, since very few alliances actually vote for a prez (outside of a senate core).

Things I learned about Purposeful1:

1. He's moving away from Chicago and going back to Cali to become some sort of lawyer type.

2. There are a few lawyers in LCN, which makes one wonder why their pacts don't look more convoluted like LaF pacts. :P

3. He seems like a quiet, humble guy, but I can imagine when he gets drunk, he can be a party animal (though I never got to see that happen).

4. He confirmed to me that if we ever do steal ZEN, LCN will indeed go to war with Paradigm.

5. He loves double burgers and beer at Billy Goat Tavern.
