Thats a very interesting point Lazy_Dibs. Its likely that a genetic and biochemical revolution is right around the corner. I don't believe in evolution. I believe that we were seeded on this planet by beings with much greater capabilities than us. The fact that we are bound in 3 spatial dimensions and locked in a time stream, yet can imagine more dimensions and even see them with mathematics, indicates to me that we are trapped in a dimensional prison. The purpose and nature of these "supernatural" beings is impossible to know, though throughout history we've made lots of guesses.

My guess is that we are in a vast simulation. I suspect that the beings that put this world in place use us as places to experience our human lives, sort of like the way we watch TV. So we are in fact eternal, but whether this is just a temporary experience for our individual consciousnesses, or whether we will remember when after we die, we wake up in our real form, who knows?

But I've seen a flying saucer, and I've experienced quite a few inexplicable things, that I think of as Spiritual events, so I'm pretty sure there's a lot more to the whole thing than what we see here from our tiny human viewpoint.

Yeah I'm intrigued by this left turn. @getafix do you then believe that individual consciousness is sort of passed on thru infinite simulation or does the individual experience die with the host body and multiple new conscious individuals are created daily?

Thanks Derrick. I don't really believe in any particular theory with regard to what happens to our individual consciousness. I hope that we are important enough that we have more than just this one life. I think there may be value in the experience we gain in our human lives, and that maybe our lives are a phase of a longer existence. It is something to hope for at least.

Or are we just a blink of energy, like a firefly. How sad if that's the case.

In days gone by I'd have gladly killed laf every single set. That's no secret.

But tbh there's a handful of decent wars just sitting on the table but i can't get anyone to want to chill in chats with people who are directly and unmistakably assholes to them.
