Chavez was a man who stood for what he believed to be right and was very outspoken. He refused to be another puppet to the United States; most leaders in Latin America kiss ass and bend over to the United States.

I’m not saying I agree with the way he did things or that I’m one of his supporters, but I only admire his valor because he was not afraid to put his life on the line. The United States could have taken him down as they have done to other leaders.

i liked his politics of getting peoples lot in life bettered, but it wasn't done universally, and a lot of people suffered and the nation was fleeced by political criminals

I'm all for caring for those who are not capable of caring for themselves. Disabled people, minors etc... But there's no valid reason I should have to pay for perfectly able adults.
