So if i received bonus over 18 hrs ago doesn't that automatically mean I should have already received a total of 6 turns since regardless of login times, assuming I've logged in, which I have?
- The latter bonus is 3pts for 12hr login (let's say i've logged in 14hrs after prior bonus), but your code shouldn't reset my timer and have me wait another 6hrs from that point for the latter 3pts. RIGHT?

Kindly clarify...

5 hrs = you got 12 hrs bonus

18.4 hrs = you got another 12 hrs bonus

not sure if you can get 12 and 18 hrs bonuses (aka totally 9 turns) in same day (i switched to 18hrs logins only).

every 18hrs you get 6 pts, in this period I've only received 3. It was 1hour late, for some strange reason.

Example:

Play turns at midnight. (no bonus)
Country play 18 hours later (gets 6 turns from 12h & 18h bonus)
Country plays 4 hours after that (gets no turns)
Country plays 8 hours after that (gets 3 turns from 12h bonus)
Country plays 6 hours after that (gets 3 turns from 18h bonus)
Country plays 8 hours after that (gets no turns)
Country plays 10 hours after that (gets 6 turns from 12h & 18h bonus)
Country plays 72 hours after that (gets 6 turns from 12h & 18h bonus)
Country plays every 2 hours for 24 hours, gets 3 turns at 12h and 3 turns at 18h.

There's been a lot more important changes, gameplay changes, that obviously matter a lot more, but maybe that's why I hate this change so much. so inconsequential and so annoying at the same time, lol

If you logged in/clicked just before the 18h point and then didn't click again for an hour, it wouldn't kick in; it only calculates/gives it when you gain turns....

well that's half hour granularity and can easily explain it

Why do we need to get bonuses more often in Express? If you just get them basically no matter what with this change, then isn't what you're doing just injecting 90+ extra turns into each Express set? What's the point of that?

Also, is this a right or wrong interpretation:
Player A logs in every 6 hours on Express, receives 6 bonus turns each time, for a total of 24 bonus turns in the day.
Player B is more busy and logs in once in 24 hours to play turns. Gets 6 bonus turns.

If this is right, the active player gets 18 more turns than the once-a-day player everyday. :S

it encourages to be active ingame and that way ee gets more ad-income.

I'll be honest, the way more active player is going to finish higher anyway, all other things equal, even without that 18 turns per day.

I would agree with giving the 6 bonus turns once a day with the 20A bonus - ensuring people log on at least once per day (which is what most games do, give a "daily" bonus).

Currently, if you want the optimal # of turns, you need to login quite frequently (every 4 hours?). Some people are using bots/scripts to automatically reload the page to collect the extra free turns. It means 18? extra turns for those compared to those who don't know how or those that only log on once a day.

This way you don't hurt those who are hugely active and you also don't hurt those who log on once a day.

hm; the "daily" thing only works if you don't play around 00:00 GMT though -- if you do (like me! it's when i get home approx) then you can alternately end up on the wrong sides of the line... worst case you'd miss half your bonuses i suppose though

Lol. First time actually checking and I just got 6 turns for logging in at 12.3 hrs. Mmmmmm guess its good for ol' Serpy.

i got 6 turns when i logged 10.3 hrs later than prev login.

This is entirely possible. In your last login, you weren't eligible for either 12 or 18 hours bonus.

Example:
19 hours ago: Logged in, got 6 turns bonus (both 12hr and 18hr bonus)
10 hours ago: Logged in. No bonuses, since only 9 hours have passed.
Now: Logged in, got 6 turns bonus, since a total of 19 hours have passed since the last time you got both bonuses.

no i wasn't since i logged ~7 hrs later than prev login to sell things and then logged 10.3 hrs later to actually play turns.

also in ffa i have gotten 3 and 6 bonuses on same day.

You logged on 7.7 hours later (aka 10.3 hours ago), got no bonus.
You logged on 10.3 hours later (aka now), got 6 turns, since 18 hours passed in total since your last bonus.

Wow just saw this. This really is a game changer for people who lack time to play. The idea that if I play at 6 pm and I can get on anytime from noon to the end of the day being easy to do is absurd. By noon i might have 6 hours of meetings scheduled, a project for work I work on till 8 and then after pulling a 12 hour work day I might drop into a bar and have a few drinks, grab dinner and then get home and go straight to bed. That's actually 3+ days of my week more often than not. So new world I get on at 11 and run a few turns if I want to goof off at work for a few. Then perhaps just log in and out before leaving as I won't have time to play. I get my turns, I stay more active, win win!

Why keep it close to the original? This is YOUR game now, do what's best for the game (and the growth of the game), not what's best for nostalgia.

With these current changes, it's just about equivalent to simplifying it all by doing 3 bonus turns every 9 hours (or 2 bonus turns every 6 hours) regardless of if you login or not. Isn't that a lot easier to implement/explain/understand while really not changing anything? You still get 6 turns every 18 hours.

why not just keep the actual original, which i liked >:(

I'm down with rewarding ppl for being more active, makes sense. Just don't make it needlessly complicated just to "keep it as close to the old game"
