1) The private market base sell price for bushels will increase from $29 to $32.
2) The cost per acre for GDI will decrease from $5 to $1.

A demo with max mil tech will be able to sell bushels for $39 and other governments with max mil tech will be able to sell bushels for $38. The farmer strategy has a tough time on shorter servers like Express and I'm hopeful that this change will make farmer more competitive.

We expect most players to be in GDI and the restrictions imposed by GDI are intended to be its primary downside. The cost per acre just removes money from the game which means less activity on the public market.

I'm tempted to run a Demo Farmer this set to try this change.... I think I am actually.

Personally I'd pick fascist for now. Demo farmer might be reasonable after NPC countries stop inflating tech prices and once countries get bonus turns at the start of the set.

I wouldn't do it. There will always be NPC techers producing tech early, although sometimes they can get tricked into teching the wrong techs. The new base income per acre for fascist farmer would be about $225 which feels good enough to get both tech and defense.

Going Demo would maybe make sense if the round was longer and you were also reselling tech and taking advantage of the large fluctuations in tech prices

Doing a tech phase might make sense as well if you were going to be land grabbing, but with all explore I would not do a tech phase simply because you will need to use your turns to explore as much as possible

Also if you guys are doing all explore you should let the rest of us know what country # you are so we can land grab you :)

I'll even run a demo techer and burn a bunch of food to help you guys out
