i dont know if it has been applied to the express server, but on FFA and alliance SS and PS ghost acre caps are based on units sent now. oversends, to a point, are profitable acreage wise.

It does apply. f you find a no defence country and send single figure jets you get very few ghost acres (13 early in this set). A recent million jet hit garnered 460 ghost acres.

Whether the extra ghost acres gained make it worth the extra military losses I doubt but have attempted no arithmetic. If it was proportionate then, in the no defence case, it would be worth it but I think it is just based on volume.

Jets are currently #144 so s/he dropped $36 million. But he would have lost 30k or 40k w/o the oversend. So lets say the oversend cost $33 million.

Perhaps s/he got 150-200 extra acres.

Once developed that land will generate assets each turn and, with enough turns still to play, those assets will eventually repay the $33 million. But the lost jets would be at work over those turns.

Can't be anywhere near worth it.
