the quality of players in express is low

Discuss.... there seem to be a lot of players running Very average countries. Lots of rainbows lots of low acre high net country how do they make money? I don't get it can someone explain where all the talent is or do I need to wait until the end to see it?

Some people just know how to maximize use of their land, I've seen some have 5k land finish 20m to 15m or so in express.

I agree. But low land low nets. Otherwise its all on expensive. Like a 4-5k country only makes 2_3m a turn. And expenses kill u if your paying 1.5m to take a turn

I would kinda tend to agree with this notion...

The model in Express seems to be that if you stand out above the rest, you start to attract the folks who don't care what happens to their country just so long as they screw yours in the process. This drives folks who want to do nothing but net away from the server.

Thankfully we have gregg to save us.

there isnt a single player in this game who is to unskilled to do something about a double tap. GDI will not protect you from missiles. your best be is to not double tap.

JJ - GDI doesn't keep some asshat from declaring war on you to wreck your set, nor getting to 1/2 your NW (or even 2x if they're running an indy). Nor does all the defense you can buy.

Simple truth is, if you want to net in peace and be left alone, Express likely isn't going to be your first choice.

I haven't run an active country since the new GDI stuff went into place, so yes, it would be fair to say I don't know a whole lot about the new set up.

I'm only on 9k having been hit down from 10k. But I make 1m a turn in cash and can tech 2700 points. I see some that maybe make 100k bushels but pay 2m a turn meaning they get just 1m. Don't get me wrong I'm not going to have a great set. Teacher sucked this set/on this server. U miss a day and prices collapse. Farmer or industry all the way next time

tech was garbage, but the 45% selling ability makes up for it...

This set though if a country stands out... it gets screwed.

My first set trying in express I won with 12.8k TTR 27.5m net, set the server record for quite a while... the following set I hit over 14k acres 200 turns earlier, and was suicided. Someone has screwed my set(that I didn't grab...) every time sicne then that i tried express

I did specialise. That was a positive cash flow through military ent and bus and low expenses. I know how to specialise lol if I hadn't recalled with no turns on hand I would have scraped a top10 just think about 8th

Many players use express as a server to test new strats or practice for upcoming wars on other servers. That doesn't explain the rainbows but I do see quite a few of those...
