The most I ever ran was 300. On dialup. By hand. I also did like 150 startups for Potomac that set too. But man. 1500 by hand? When did you have time to do anything else? I would never have called myself "slick" by any standards but if I actually took turns on 100 of my countries one day, 100 the next, and 100 the third day, it took me like 4 or 5 hours a day to run them all.

fluff, that was back in the days. I would never touch anything over 16 now without a damn bot. I have no clue how we did it, but we did.

DM's ass is used as a mold for office chairs by 17 different countries

the most i ran was 180... and that was back in early 2000s...i would play 90 one day, the other 90 the next... unless we were at war :P

but dial up sucked, so i never tried to run more than that

back then you could just get by with deleting your cookies... so you could use other peoples logins if you needed more...

and you could actually hide untagged in the 10000s of countries and the news bug... ah the good ole days :P

I'd get home from work about 5:30 and I played countries most nights until 11:00 between playing them, ICQ and messing around on MPE's website.

After that set though, the most I ever ran was 30. Nowadays, I think I have enough time to run 4.

The last or next to last set of old FFA, ESD warred DSoA and I ran maybe 150 countries, but Polgara gave me 30 of hers and I was running half of other ESD's members' countries as well.

I racked up about 300 kills that set. Never had the desire to play multis again.

I think at one point I ran 1000 in a war. NBK was losing Duel or Dwar (Icarus and Polgara were in said clan), I had my own 500 countries, and then borrowed everyone elses login and ran 1k countries for a week. Killed a lot :D

Where the hell did you find enough hours in the day, man? I mean, I know you NBK guys were always among the best at killing, but......

That was during the university days, lol. My one kill run took 13 hours, and brain dead, staring at screen like a zombie after I killed the top 15% of their clan, I go to FFAT to multiple posts of people saying NBK is running bots, lol.

ahh the days when you were expected to run more more then 15 countries in FFA. i used to run around 90-120 myself. lucky for me i got cable internet when it first came out in early 2k. was using it on i think a 133mhz p1 lol.

the worst part when you think back about running that many was you had an individual login for EACH country, if you had the portal login like we do now it would be a bit easier.

BTW I ran 800+ countries back in the day. My parents got pissed at me all the time by spending all my time on the computer some nights i was up until 2 am and needed to get up at 6 am for school. It was fun back then.

Lmao.. Yes not long after that SS and Mehule got into an argument, SS told him to suck his cherries... or something, so Mehule banned SS, but he was still running countries.. Then somehow Mehule permabanned SS's IP, I guess, as I believe that was about the end, of SS's gaming activities on Earth2025..

The most I ever ran was about 60, and that was about 50 more than I had time for. But then, like Gambit says.. when out of turns, we'd use others, that had turns, in that secret country log Thread... I believe I was up and killing for 3 days straight, during the NBK/TAKERS war..

Sorry to hear about Icron.. I hope he'll be alright..
I learned to really respect his power and influences in the Earth's community, the hard way...
Mostly cuz he had Pan kill us, when DWAR didn't have many actives, cuz I'd referred to Polgara as a fluff.. Icron may have givin me an opportunity to make it right, or he would kill us..
But I stood by my convictions, and told him to bring it! After all, DWAR was hurting for countries and active members, and I thought what I said was true enough. That set Icronic wasn't even playing.. We were low, in countries too, maybe 4 or 500?
It may have taken a little over a day... And our countries were dead!..
That reset I single handedly got NBK killed in a matter of hours, really.. Pan had this kill bot that was amazingly efficient! lol

I'm just lucky the remaining NBK crew forgave me.. No one was too happy with me though... :0\

Yup, great times, great memories.. I heard not long after that, Icron and Polgara had separated...
