The intent of captcha's is to stop bots from being used in the game - allowing you to validate via text message would only make that easier.

I'm not saying it's fool proof (obviously, as mobbie's figured it out) - but it's really the best they can do. If certain douchebags could grow up and not try to run bots on people, you wouldn't have to deal with it at all.
