I agree it won't be as big of an issue as Some Guy seems to think - as a matter of fact, if we spin it right it could actually end up being quite beneficial for the community. After all, no press is bad press.

EE has gotten all sorts of publicity over this, and if you actually readthe articles the press isn't bashing the game at all, in fact they often times write about how the community is shocked that somebody we play with would do such a thing.

sure there might be some people that will say this game is evil... but well.. wouldn't agree after being addicted to it for a decade?

I agree with desperado on this. i haven't seen anything negative about the game itself in any articles. this clearly isn't a game that breads and or encourages RL violence, and any rational person will see that.
This could actually work out very well for the game!

Edit: to clarify, I mean the mention of EE in various national/international news articles, not the tragic events leading to its mention.

Seems like this attention has drawn lots of vets back, at least just to say hello.. That is cool..I agree with Despy and Poppy.. Thank God they "removed" him, where ever this pinhead was playing!
Coulda easily been bad press, if the guy was some leader or seasoned player...

I haven't read any negative comments about the game yet either, after all, this isn't a bad game. U get a chance to meet and interact with people all around the world. I've never met a bad seed, met a lot of different personalities (which is to be expected). I've had nothing but fun since I first started playing this game, well, not the first time. (I was a land farm). But, as I learned abt this game and got better, I became addicted to it. I'm on the computer more than I can remember since I've been playing.



This is a good community here, and, we all share a common bond. And, I know we all share in those families grief, prayers go out from all of us to them. I know everyone is not gonna see this game as constructive since this unfortunate tragedy........
