only asking cuz I travel a bit for fishing and wanted to know what kinda bait you use etc.

I am going to use shiners, chubs and suckers.

I will prolly get 2 dozen shiners and a dozen chubs/suckers each.

Between 2.5 and 4 inches long, anything bigger and you don't get the constant action needed to use 48 baits in 6 hours or less, even 4 inches is pushing it

I'm going for bass 14 inches or larger

I'm fishing freshwater inland in Eastern ontario between 11 to 24 feet of water from a decent sized fishing boat

However I will probably also use some spoons, five of diamonds etc.

I do this alot and year round

I did not know that the bass really hit like that in Canada. I know they are all over, but I thought in colder areas they were not as active.

I am going to Florida next month. I am looking forward to fishing lol

the wind direction, temperature and cloud conditions are also going to factor where exactly I decide to fish but the approach is the same

Bass are fairly predictable as are most fish

Been trying to fish every weekend iron and during the week. Had a pretty decent weekend last week. Caught some gafftops and a small shark.

Bass is gross to eat but fun to catch. The problem with shiners (at least here) you catch a lot of perch while fishing bass.

No no no, you don't fry bass! I'll share my way of prepping and cooking if you ever want to try, I almost guarantee you'll like it...

I bbq perch filets but you need like 8 or so for a meal for 1 person but its damn delicious

well I've cooked a lot of fish, but I always try new things ping me ill try it. we have a place on the St. Lawrence bass is easy to come by over the next few months.

I don't find them hard to clean but it does get redundant when you have a clean a bunch.

Grab a bowl like container...

- 4 or 5 good size sweet navel oranges.
- 1 bottle of shock top beer.
- 1 packet of paprika.

Throw all that in the bowl and stir til mixed good, then prep the fish, cut it in 4 inch pieces along the spine from front to back, you'll get about 3 pieces each fish depending on size, put the slices of fish one by one til they're all covered in the juices, cover the bowl and let them marinate for at least 12 hours, then you can grab aluminum foil, cut enough orange slices to make a bed for fish slices, sandwich the fish with more orange slices, cover with foil, cook it on the grill, not too hot, I usually let it cook slow and check them every 10 minutes, once it's cooked, enjoy!

The bones will pull out very easily so you don't have to worry about them.
