you find threads that has heavy debate on it, with appropriate time, say today, it's August 21st, you want to find threads with last posts on August 20th or 19th, doesn't matter the year, that's the whole point.

contribute to the thread, bring up new arguments, preferably something that would spark another conversation. and just wait.

most of the time, people won't notice and i've had good results.
