IRC is much better than Discord because we have warbots, and phone alarms can be set to alert us when our countries are attacked by keeping our phones logged into the news channels. Of course now that the war rooms have been made pretty much irrelevant in Alliance by Clan GDI, maybe Discord would be better than irc, though my experience is that netters play the game in isolation with little or no interaction with other players.

Pretty much G.

This game is 95% social, 5% gameplay. Laf just focuses on the 5%. Everyone else plays the social part. Even Doug is running around pacting even though nobody can mess with him in clangdi.

Maybe even lessthan 5% now after Gerdler took chev’s bait for an aided cheat finish.

We ran WCs with IRC while in discord, it was really good.
