thanks everyone. would have made it 4 in a row if crest didn't play last set. lol. i was away for the bulk of wed, thurs and Fri cuz i was on a short overseas trip, but luckily i didn't lose many turns. was given an additional boost when my jets sold for 225 at the end. anyway, congrats everyone!

I only managed to play once in the last 2 days of the set as I was out of town. With the strong tech prices, I really wish I had been around this set as I could have had quite an amazing finish - I was set up quite nicely before i left town

But then again, maybe if I had played, with the additional tech, the prices might have crashed :p

yeah I agree with maverickmd. I thought tech was weaker than the previous set.

Now, the million dollar question, how do I get more than 30m nw? I've yet to done it. So far, only 12 (most of them probably belong to Rob, Bakku, afaik) made it above that number and of course we have Bakku's magical 38m, which I think is quite impossible to beat.

Convince me and 2 other people to work out tech leeches for your attempts. Then pay it forward when they go for it :)

I don't think it was a fluke. He single handedly manipulated the res/bus techs in his favor that set. That was skill. I've been waiting to see him do that againm but every other set he's been suicided on. Too bad.

You don't get 10 million NW over #2 by a fluke.

I never actually passed 30mil. I have around 4-5 29ish.
Would have got past once, but overslept through the end and ended with 29mil networth with 800mil or so left.

Express now, isnt the same as express round 1-50. you're all better players after 100 rounds and therefor should be more competative. There must be a reason that Afaik and Bakku quit playing express. Not saying there was, but wondering.

I was just looking at round 79. Talk about a hard luck second place with one of the all-time greatest scores. Third place was almost 30m as well. All were commies, maybe there were only 5 commies playing in that set or something.

reset 79 i think i started too late and kept getting grabbed all set so i had no chance to beat afaik/diez.

i actually tried again in set 102 for the first time since set 79 but accidentally double-tapped someone. would have finished above 30m if i didn't suck at checking my own news

anyway, i quit playing express bc it just takes too much time if you actually try to win and the main days you have to play are thu/fri/sat. i do have a bunch of random 20-26m nw finishes playing an all-ex CI strat though i stopped it because even that took a decent amount of time
