A California federal court is to decide for the first time in US history whether amusement park animals are protected by the same constitutional rights as humans.

I'll put riddler in a cage and tell him i'm doing him a favour by protecting him from his natural enemies

i both love zoos and dislike them at the same time- i think they're great to attend, but i feel horrible that the animals have to be there. I guess I'd rather just safari.

Speaking of cows, wasn't that steak I had a couple weeks ago awesome or what?

Animals have the cognitive faculties of CHILDREN at best. We don't let children roam around doing whatevertf they want either.

In an ideal world, regulations to improve the quality of the captivity would likely be sufficient. On the other hand, who is going to pay for and enforce those (considering that regulations often exist already and are still ignored in many cases)?

Yeah I can't say that in enjoy zoo's either... The are kid of boring and all the animals like you say are just caged up, big deal. A safari on the other hand would kick ass! I'd love to go on an African safari or something like that...

On a side note. An executive of the zoo portion of Disney's Animal Kingdom told me at one point a rhino had gored one of the cars on the Kilimanjaro Safari. There's a reason the animals are just caged up for you to gawk at :P

The reward of a safari would be to be able to see animals as they truly interact not just watching them pace in a cage because they are bored out of their minds.

i would carry the rifle, it being africa and all, but the only game i'd hunt would be the most dangerous.

but i joke- i would carry it for defense. if a rhino is charging at me because i'm taking a piss and i somehow had no idea he was anywhere close (more likely smoking a joint, to be honest).. then i could *only* hope i'd take it down or i'd be just another dead white man in africa :(

Braden if a rhino is charging you you only have a few seconds to react... and even at that your rifle isn't going to take him down fast enough. Maybe an RPG...

assuming i hit it in the head area, but at twenty paces a shot to the head would kill it. i could only imagine at five paces if i'm lucky with aim, the hole in the brain would pretty much stop him save any momentum.

so, i was never aiming at his hip or leg, but i would still likely be dead. lets replace rhino with.. i've never fired a gun, so a fluffing zebra could be looking at me wrong and i could very well miss and get kicked in the face like a horse might :P

California is Americas Greece. We are tired of it. Pay your way or succeed from the Union. After all it worked so well the last time some people tried it.
