My fiancée and I do sometimes go to Chicago for St Patrick's Day, which does happen to be in that time frame... I'll get in touch if it looks like I'll be in town. (Unless you meant you are leaving the 17th and won't really be around then.)
Also, while you're there go to Kuma's Korner! Amazing burgers. They were featured on Triple D. Smoque is also out there (pulaski and grace, off 90 and addison) and they were also featured on Triple D.
But, I've eaten at both prior to their fame. great food.

^If you go to Kuma's, it's excellent stuff, but be prepared to wait literally for hours in line. Go on an off-time and plan on waiting about an hour, or two hours if you're going during a busy time.
If you don't mind heavy metal, and have a few hours definitely stop at Kuma's. Smoque has some of the best bbq in Chicago, but I've had better. Check out some of our brewpubs if you want something to drink, Goose Island, Piece, Revolution etc.
