As somebody that grew up in a single parent home, no matter how much u you and the mother hate each other, you need to keep it civil between u is the best advice i can give you.

Hearing my parents make disparaging remarks against each other played hell on my own identity. As a kid, i would think, if I came from such bad people, how could I ever amount to anything?
