yea, we made that illegal here a couple years ago.

Interestingly, attempts were made earlier to make it illegal but two of the main rightwing parties voted against the ban. It wasn't until they lost the majority in parliament that the ban got through parliament.
Weirdly, one of these parties are the Christian Democrats, a conservative neoliberal party somewhat akin to the Republican Party in the US.
Although maybe it isn't all that weird since most of their support traditionally comes from.. yes haha the rural areas in the country.
