Maybe you should add code to prevent harmful ops in the last 6 hours of the game. Shouldn't affect standard gameplay much.

He told me the country number. I don't know if he used admin tools to figure the number out. I already knew who played the country, and he is a petty individual with a massive chip on his shoulder for no reason.

I was looking to see if my mobile site screwed up my country, as I was logged in a few mins before the end.

The set is done -- not sure how it could be abuse after the fact; regardless, country news should be available after the reset; I'm working on that on my dev site.

You should also allow tag admin news to be visible from maybe the "Top Clans" page after the reset has ended if so. People can verify if any FA was sent that way too, if you are planning to allow country news available to public (or did I misread that?)

The set might be over, qz, but the information tellarion gained could be used in future negotiations, affecting things, so it is still information he should not have gotten unless country news or tag admin news becomes public in the next few days.

looking at and giving info not available to the player is simply not an option. If I did ask I definitely would not expect to hear specifically who did it. I don't see how this wouldn't be an abuse of powers. If you lost nw you know it is one of a couple things and it isn't up to an admin to give that info

true; but if you were playing on a dev version you might; tbh i thought i might have somehow triggered a recall given i was on the market, 3 turns would have fluffed the nw as well -- though maybe not that much

and I've been talking about making news available after the reset for some time -- my back-end changes were part of why it (and everything else) were on hold

It looks like the news is only available to be viewed if the profile settings of that player is set to public, rather than actually being publicly available at the moment.

You can change that to be really public I guess, but hide the country's owner at the top like "xxxxxx's country News on the Alliance Server" if the profile isn't public.

I tried looking at the news of an ongoing reset, it didn't let me lol.

Or you could you know see the mod abuse that you are trying to brush under the table. Last minute suiciding is stupid but mod abuse goes beyond that, unless there is some way that I could have seen this same info at the time. You can't admin powers to solve in game issues.

But yes a last minute suicide is stupid as fluff.

If qz used the same reasoning to check a laf countries news and found that an evo country had done spy ops 3 minutes before set ends and told you, I suspect you'd be singing a different tune. Seems like the main reason you guys are crying foul is because Rockman got caught.

I suspect that I would never even conceive of asking an admin if my nw was taken away by a bug and would make one of the two assumptions that were possible. I would also expect that they would not tell me even if I did ask since it is admin only information. Pang has never told me anything when we chatted in Laf.

Look the problem is this, all you had to do was check why the nw loss occurred.

In doing that all you needed to do is see that it was from spy ops, you have taken it a step further and hunted down the offender which you are not meant to do as part of your mods code of ethics.

I lost 2.5m nw to the same spy ops (I was country #15) can you please look into the database and tell me who did it?

Why don't you take responsibility for rockman's actions with even remotely the same vehemence you direct at qz?

That's the problem we as players are not meant to have access to that information and those few that do have access to it are not meant to be abusing it.

The whole idea of a successful spy op is that you don't know who did it because it is after all a stealth attack.

This is the 2nd time now that Someone from Evo has used the database to hunt griefers and name them. Do it across the board or only give access to the DB of people who can abide by the rules.

Btw I hate griefers and believe we should stamp them out of our community. I believe a set of guidelines should be drawn up and restorative powers should be in order.
