You'd be surprised... I have a hotmail address I've had since the 90's! Granted, my Gmail account has been my real email account for 8 or 9 years now I think but it's good to have a "well hell, I am required to give you an email address so..." setup where I only use it for stuff I don't care about, only check it monthly, and don't care if it gets spam.
