even when i do, then i get topfed by idiots...
Forgetting GDI sucks (#69) DeathFromAbove (#8) 890A (1267A)
lets try again (#37) DeathFromAbove (#8) 1090A (1552A)

so obviously i need to retal, so i buy jets...when i buy jets i am not buying turrets, then i am opened up for retals from idiots that decide to save 500 turns and go 100% jets just to retal. I am better off middle/topfeeding so i can continue growing and most often not get retalled because i can use the extra 12 turns that i waste with spies and grabbing to tech.

Personally, i think you should not be able to keep more than 360 turns total(stored and available), that is one days worth of turns. this would stop delayed players etc.

end rant.

It does work both ways,
If you choose to stay small for the first day and a half, you can be the one to retal for 10x the land u lose for an lg.
I usually do this, don't grow past 3k/4k acres until 5 or 6 people hit for 100ish land then i have some good retal targets for massive gains.

I was jedi last round. I did it to you last round. Finished 3rd with 26mil. I finish top ten 90% of the rounds I play in, when I don't go suicidal. If you go to eestats you can see the timeline from last round.

And yes it pisses people off.

i would say the problem is with
a) those clowns doing the topfeeding
and
b) you hitting guys like Getafix who are clearly gonna retal you anyway (even if you didn't have to buy jets). did you forget he finished top ten last reset and retaled everyone?

So, what im hearing is that its wrong for ppl who are playing a slower strat or have jobs or whatever to retal someone who hit them early for basically no land at all. Im not gonna cash 360 turns at a couple hunred thousand to get a retal in. Im gna wait till its beneficial for me. Not you :)

Who the hell plays demo techer? :P I've never seen any in Express.

back in my day, mdemon and crest always played demo techers and Rob always started with a theo techer and converted to casher if the prices were bad

i do this every reset, rarely have i ever pissed anybody off, and i'm a pretty good lock for a top ten every reset, so..

I would have went farmer like I normally do but I've had enough of
random factors that I'd rather not whine about.

One thing though is staying up for hours on end waiting to sell/for sold food wrecks my sleep when I could do braden and skip like 3 days :P.

I like playing demo techer. I'm getting started playing Republic which is relatively simple. With a demo techer you can sometimes make a big profit buying and selling goods but you have to keep a close eye on the markets right through the set to do well. That means being up all night and day :)

Which is kind of weird actually that you don't tech start cash but do tech start indy. Indy has a more powerful non-tech start than casher imo. Even if you can get tech cheap I'd say, maybe unless it drops below 2k.
