yah my ms/hs school had one that people all used, mostly the chat rooms but some games and stuff. played risk (global war) on there, it's a really well-made game, plus BRE (ie earth v0.1), FE (utopia v0.1), LORD, TW2002, P:TEOS, etc etc. theres still some boards out there, telnet to x-bit.org or exciter.ws

Earth: 2025 was originally a BBS online game called Barren Realms Elite (BRE), and a more sci-fi version Solar Realms Elite. They were both created by Mehul and his brother. Yes, I played them both.

Wow, ok old man.

;)

I honestly cannot remember the names of the BBS games I tried. I was late to the BBS world and got in on the Prodigy network early since my dad worked for IBM very early (circa 1988) and it was a JV between IBM/Sears at the time.

I mostly stuck with Prodigy and only went back to BBS's for a short time in 1991 when the sysop of one of those led me into hacked SDSU student accounts and introduced me to the Moral Decay MUD (gopher -> telnet gateway at UMN).
