how many grams in an ounce? CBS mentioned that it increased to $500 an ounce on the first day of legal sale. think they also mentioned that they ran out of weed to sell. isn't there a cap if 1 ounce for yokels and 1/4 ounce if you're from out of state?

28 grams per ounce, and I was hearing the same thing about 500. yes there is a limit of 1/4 ounce for out of state, and some airports will even let you fly with it. probably have a dea agent sitting at airports out of state for flights leaving the area, but I can understand flying within state with product on hand.

I think the price will deflate as the novelty wears off (and people who are casual users just don't use up what they bought) and supply outstrips demand.

I'm not sure how hard it is to get a growing license now in Colorado (commercial license, it's fine to keep a few plants for personal use) but I expect there will be a glut of producers in the relatively short-to-medium term.

some future story will probably be about how some producers had to start moving vast amounts of product out of the state to make ends meet and that will fuel the "this is why we shouldn't legalize it!" vs "this is why it should be legal EVERYWHERE" discussions.

Not sure what the commercial deals are, but think they have to be licensed in some way. Mostly just pay attention to what my rights are as a civilian in the state.

Ridiculous prices, I will stick to the black market. The highest premium I will pay is for Chernobyl, and even then I won't pay more then 65 for a quad which is still really expensive. Pang is right though, the price now is just the novelty effect of it all.

there seems to be some confusion about hemp being the same plant as marijuana. maybe they banned hemp because too many people were trying to smoke all the rope when they ran out of pot.
