until recently, European small fords were superior to american small fords. there is a reasonable reason for this, as the small car market had been massive in europe for a while while we americans were riding around in our escalades and expeditions. in recent years they have been bringing the more refined focus and fiestas here to the US, as we are finally catching up with demand for quality fuel efficient cars.

Yes, but at least they have as many last names as they have first names there. Since a boy would gain the father's last name followed by son, and the girl would have either the father's or mother's first name followed by dottir.
