It is one of the weakest, because the market commission is too high. There is only one viable strat with Communism, and that is Indy.

Special consideration had to be made to severely buff Communism on Express server (to 60% max sales) to compensate for extremely fast turns.

No Communism/Indy country has won Primary for 2 years. None has won on Alliance ever.

Commie is probably overpowered at the beginning of the set, but underpowered when it comes to netting as Xinhuan noted.

i'd rather play a 10k theo/reseller than a 40k commie/indie all set. I'd sure get a better NW with the reseller.

Communism is perfect the way it is. Great for restarts in war, necessary for early tag protection, etc. Just because a strat is better at one particular thing doesn't mean it's over or under powered.

Commie indus is clearly useful in the beginning of the set as VicRattlehead said. I mean, if you need a powerful retaller before other countries develop, commie indus are great for that. Aside from that, they are so damn hard to develop from the get go. Unless you take the time to properly run it.

They used to win in team all the time when afaik played

Note all lower turn counts
So either lower commission or give commie boost of 10 to 20 percent less upkeep costs and they become competitive on all servers again as ironically prices are better in 1 a than any other server but agree it's harder to benefit from

I won team with a CI. It was only five years ago! A CI won primary a little over a year ago: http://www.earthempires.com/primary/23/ranks

I'm not sure if a CI has any untapped potential left at this point. I do understand why top players wouldn't bother with it on the longer servers. It's a lot more effort for less potential reward. Alliance is particularly annoying because there is low demand for military, low supply of indy tech (I was constantly buying it out), and there isn't much use in holding so much military all the time with tag protection. The EWPP will make it even worse. The whole server is conspiring against CI!

just wondering why did qzjul placed back the flat rate of 8 percent military losses. it's was fine before that.
