Upkeep for GDI supposed to be $3 for each acre. So with a country with 100k acres the cost would be $300000, but for some reason my alliance costs went up with $600000 after joining (even though the GDI page says its 300k). The country do not have any pacts with other countries.

So is the cost for GDI $3 or $6 per acre?

Assuming, as there is no answer, that this is a known bug then (but not as important to actually fix it) ?

I did declare war one time earlier (on a suicider country) which I killed. There is no option I know of to declare peace on a "dead" country.

Also I have left GDI and rejoined with same effect of having it doubled, i.e.

Your GDI expenses of $313,779 are shown within your alliance expenses.

Yes you do have to declare peace with a dead country. In the War room "Declare Peace"??? Please don't tell me it is that easy.

No, not that easy.

Chain of events:

1. Joined GDI
2. Declared war and killed country
3. Left GDI
4. Starting grabbing the bots (which wouldnt be possible if I still was in a "Declared war" status)
5. No "Declare Peace" option available in "War room", thus not possible.
6. Joined GDI, cost is doubled.

Plus, wouldnt make sense that the cost is exactly doubled based on the GDI cost when Declared war status cost "$10/acre", which for me would mean 100k acres * 10 = $1 million in upkeep.

Don't know then.

Sometimes you have to suggest the super easy option before trying to make this complicated...
