if in a television show a female character, lets call her a lawyer or an exec, if we cut to her and she;s halfway attractive, and her line is "we have a problem"

is it sexist for my immediate response to be "yes, you still have your blouse on"?

Yes... it is sexist, because he's treating her differently because of her gender. If he wouldn't reply that way to a guy, but instead, take the guy seriously, that's prejudice which falls into your definition of sexism.

HOWEVER, that's the reason that woman was hired to act on tv in the first place, putting us in this situation, so braden is really just a victim of the well known exploitation of the power of boners.

If ruth is watching a television show or movie and ryan reynolds or bradley cooper or a micheal fassbender is in a suit and tie, and says "we have a problem" or if that handsome to all heck gentleman is on a beach with glistening skin tones and pecs you could bounce a nickle off of, and he says "we have a problem".. are you sexist because one is more enjoyable than the other?

Also why does your being female give you a better idea as to whether it is sexist or not? Are you suggesting that men, as a gender, are inferior or at the very least less capable of understanding the plight of a woman? Is this itself not sexist? What if the surgeon is the mother?
