I noticed you two both accuse each other of lying.

I would like to present option 3:

SOL was, in fact, going to war another alliance. LaF, from the information they had, thought they were the target and decided to pre-emptively strike.

Can you all stfu now and enjoy the war? I don't understand why SOL is fluffing about this anyways. You guys love to war. You're a warring clan. Well you have a war now. Sooo...

That has generally been LaF's stance all along -- we know we were 1 of 2 targets SoL had available. They continued to provoke and politick against LaF behind the scenes.

We had to assume we were a target, or at least, that we weren't satisfied allowing others to choose if we fight or not. Maki declined our many attempts to pact out, so we had to assume that we were a real possibility to be hit, and as I said in private, being hit 2 sets in a row by SoL doesn't sound out of the realm of possibilities. Especially after their troll team went on that flame rant last set about LaF "spitting in SoL's face" about a CF, and "declining to pact SoL even when offered" (which is the part where SoL was lying BTW)

That is the quick summation of h4's war dec post, btw.

but I also agree with the spirit of TAN's post -- the war is started, let's go enjoy it ingame. After the initial volley of posts back and forth between leaders, I noted this... no one seems to have listed much :p

LaFfers aren't the ones starting new threads to complain/bash SoL -- we're responding to the flaming/bashing which they are bringing forward on a consistent basis.

I really don't understand why a war alliance who was completely prepped for our FS (and we knew they were prepped) can complain so much, while also being so arrogant about their expected outcome of the war....
usually it's one or the other, but SoL is somehow doing both :p

that being said, no one in LaF is making these threads... other than the war dec.
If SoL stopped making inflammatory posts/threads, I expect LaF would to... I know I would rather put my effort somewhere more constructive :p

if SoL wants to have a moratorium on flaming, I'd welcome it.

i actually have tried this before -- it just ends up that people start believing the trolls. There's definitely a difference between fanning the flames and just getting your point across. I always aim for the latter, but it doesn't come off that way ;)

AT is like cable news networks... the person with the loudest, most bombastic point usually gets noticed, not the one that makes the most sense.

all the cable news networks suck...

Fox is just too biased and spin filled
MSNBC is the complement to Fox News -- for the liberals, but with boring personalities :p
CNN is just abysmal.... their news is just bad... 37 hrs of miner recovery coverage? Come on... I wanted to watch Your Money while I was on the treadmill (even THAT has turned to a POS). I'd rather watch the spinning news channels that are at least entertaining than the boring stories on CNN :p

news is gonna "suck" again until the next major terror event, additional wars start, or something else happens to shake up this boring news cycle. :p
Or I guess until the 2012 election :p

Too many natural disasters too.... they covered the first ones (katrina, haiti) too thoroughly, then did nothing for others (oil spill, pakistan) for quite some time.... I still don't see the pakistani flooding in the news

I never said I have never created any aliases for these forums.

The only alias I've created for these forums is one I use to test for permission integrity and such. If you search the user list, you'll be able to spot it quite easily. I haven't used that one on any forums other than the Forum Dev board, and maybe the Mod Talk forum. Everything else has been said under the account you see me posting under now.
