I've just been trying to do some attacks.. keeps repeating this error... won't let me attack! "

But... just checked Boxcar.. and it seems to be recording the hits, but not taking my turns from me?????!??!?!?!!??!

My attacks on Llaar were between the time periods: May 12/10 6:33:51 AM and May 12/10 6:39:37 AM

My very first attack was successful and displayed correctly, the remaining were errors.

Why were there so many? because it is easy to hit backspace and attempt attacking again multiple times.
Especially when your works proxy server is buggy half the time anyway.
(anyone know how to stop caching with Mozilla btw? I have to refresh constantly to play my turns.. caches old pages)

Afterwards, I reported the bug with attacking, as I assume I am meant to do. I could only report it on the forums.

No, I wasn't in IRC co-ordinating any attacks. I can't get on IRC during the hours I am at work. :(
TAN has even had to give me targets on site, which half I missed hitting cause I have to do work in between checking. :D


My country is alive, while others who were online that time and did a large number of hits have been deleted.
So, I assume I am in the clear here.

However, a PDM member did abuse the bug, which I am sure our IA are in the process of dealing with, there has already been an announcement regarding bug abuse.
I unintentionally abused the bug as well.

If this is going to get political, then with my alive country, I'd like to offer it up to NA as an apology for what happened here.
I can FA reps to a country of your choice, drop defence so you can farm the land, and / or in addition self delete.
I'm sure TAN will give me permissions to do this. (sorry for not asking first TAN!)

I didn't come back for one reset to give PDM a bad name, PDM has a strong history of being anti-cheating in this game and that includes bug abuse.

If you reported it after discovering it, and didn't intentionally exploit it, then I'd say you're clear.

So far as offering up your country - a very nice gesture, but it seems a bit unnecessary to me. I'd be pretty disappointed if NA were to take the petty route and scream for anyone's head over your particular case after all that's happened. The other members are another story though...

why would you compensate them when the country you hit was compensated already?

I believe it's called a gesture of good will TAN. They go a long way in this world.....try it sometime.

TAN, as NOW3P said, a gesture of good will. I understand they've been compensated already, however if they still feel wronged and want to point fingers at PDM, I would hope this would satisfy them and clarify my own personal stance on cheating, as well as Paradigms.

hey skythe, i totally trust you on this one. i gave you kudos in the other thread for reporting the error and not taking advantage, something the others, who abused the bug, did not do.

Yes, reporting things that are not right is always the best idea..

It's that special kinda obsession, Nuke....not necessarily the hurt someone kind, just the wake up to find them breathing heavily over your bed kind.
