Only 1 Indy in the top 10 this round. Everyone else got f'd up I guess.

I am 5 minutes away from lifting off the runway for a 20 hour flight from Singapore to Los Angeles, so I will not be around to post top 25/100 scores until I buy a SIM card there, or at least settle down at the hotel rooms.

So I left at least 25M NW on the table this set.

The 1st intentional grab by edfjr took away $5.8m/turn cashing for my remaining 620 turns (including 32 PCI booms). That's worth about $4b (~15M NW). Adding that to the direct NW lost from the grab (due to military/land/buildings/tech/money lost), the total NW lost from the grab was about 17.5M NW.

The 2nd grab was a retal (thanks viva). I would have likely avoided this if the 1st one didn't happen. I didn't really bother too much with my country after the 1st grab.
This 2nd grab took away about $3.9m/turn cashing for my remaining 230 turns (including 16 PCI booms). Thats worth about $1b (~3.9M NW). The direct losses from the grab amounted to ~2.3M NW, bringing the total impact of this grab to 6.2M NW.

I was almost 18% smaller after these 2 grabs, and that affected my optimal destocking timing. This impact is more difficult to quantify, so let's just say maybe 2M nw difference from the suboptimal destocking. Adding all of that to my finishing NW would have put me over 165M NW (which would be a new record!).

Unfortunately, these are all hindsight and as you know hindsight is 20/20. At least I still got the win =P

Sorry ka mac and fearvendor and toran republic (and anyone else I stole from)... as a dict techer with a lot of spies and spy tech I couldn't pass up 140m+ bushels sitting there, it was a lot more useful than teching at that point.

It's a pity what happened to blid's country by that idiot. I think he was in line to challenge oldman, especially after oldman got retaled.

Between blid and edfjr, I must have lost 2-3 million nw helping defend them, lol.

Well, I was 10k land ahead of Xin when I stopped grabbing, so yeah, my serious calculations had me finishing 142-143m... even if I was off I still think I would have had enough for the win, but that's in large part due to oldman being topfed by edfjr, which wasn't his fault either.

Sorry about the hits on me you had to absorb, also you got hurt by h2o hitting you. He says he thought you were working with #85 but really that's a bit silly since a single double tap is not exactly strong evidence of coordination.

The 2 hits on oldman, and about 4 or 5 on h2o took about 3-4m turrets and a bunch of tanks from me. Probably lowered my finish about 2m+ NW. I eventually unallied h2o and allied eManny.

Doubtless a number players would have finished higher than me if not for the warring going on.

By the way blid, oldman claimed he was going to finish over 165m before the hits lol.

The retal on oldman and the retals on crest came from some dangerous looking targets... That was the reason I stopped grabbing early. I just did not like the looks of countries like Hotel Room Service and Naked Girl on Fire. I think there was some Detroit country I was afraid to grab also.

Furious999, not sure what you mean. People just try to ally people ranked up near where they are. If I have a def ally and it works out with us I tend to keep allying them also.

Naked girl on fire had to be grimjoww, definitely a guy capable of being a "scary" grab. I am not sure how many t10s and wins he has on alliance/ec/1a, but it is a big number. Good guy in a fight too.
