I know, I actually still had 2.5m jets out on PS's when I hit him, bought what I needed for the retal and when the jets came home sold most of them. Actually made a profit from the jets by buying them at 112 - 125 and sold at 138. Love playing a demo.

so even with ghost, he lost 4k land in the exchange... not to mention lost cs and all those wasted turns rebuilding.

I'll take that exchange any day :) He's got to pick better targets if he wants to keep his land. You can't midfeed techers who have good weapons tech. I didn't even max my mil strat before the retal, could've got another 600-800 acres before ghost if I did.

It only took me one set to get to game A (two if you count my first set in game C where I only played 10 days), and I was farmed the beginning half of the set by JJ. Still made top 10 after I got big enough to farm him back. IMO game B was fairly weak and as long as you know what you're doing there shouldn't be any problem making your way up to game A.

I like to build 20 cs to start, 40 farms, 20 cs, 60 farms, 20 cs, 80 farms repeating this cycle till I have 70 bpt (build per turn). Explore as much as you can to keep your income higher and bushel production higher for now. Make sure you sell bushels on your private market every few turns until you take 80 turns then store and sell on public market when you run out of cash after turn 100.

grats oldman! and crest! Had a decent run myself, but really sputtered out at the end... kept putting my military on too high so I never got to resell like I wanted to. Still satisfied with a top 10 after only 2 resets back :)

edit, thought it was my 3rd, in fact was only 2nd
