I think 80 million was top 5 last round, and I hope 80 mil is too high of a guess for top 10 because I'll likely only get to 80-85 mil NW myself after all the missiles I took from the tech guy ... I'll guess 65-70m maybe for top 10

farmer is probably the next easiest strategy to play

but with farmer you will want agriculture, business, residence, and military costs technology

Nope, I know you've played a nice round but I really don't think any commie indy has a chance against two rep cashers who have more land than you have and are definitely outproducing you by a large margin at this point

Considering USA hasn't been cut off SWIFT for what they did in Afghanistan, Iraq, Lybia, Syria, etc, etc.

Another thing I find amusing is that our dear leader Mr. Brandon shut down the keystone xl and killed thousands of good American jobs so he could buy oil from Russia instead of producing and refining it in North America

Fun stat I read today,

Russia has dropped approximately 160 bombs on Ukraine (using the word bombs to keep things simple, bombs = bombs, missiles, or rockets)

America has dropped an average of 46 bombs per day on various countries throughout the world since 2001

Please clear up the mixed messages with regards to tourament

When I go to the main ingame page and click gdi I get this message - The Global Defense Initiative (GDI) is an open organization dedicated to the protection of our members. As a member of GDI, you will receive the protection of GDI forces. No country more than twice your size or less than half your size will be able to go to attack you without first formally declaring war. On this server, GDI protection is free and required.

GDI is free according to my ingame gdi page

However, when I click on details instead of going into my country - https://www.earthempires.com/tourney/serverdetails

GDI
All countries are forced to join GDI. The cost of GDI membership is $3 per non-cs building.

So which is it?

This game is actually really simple,

Pick a specialized strategy and then get as much tech as you can as quickly as you possibly can

I'm playing a casher myself right now in tournament and I have over 1 million tech points between business, residence, and military costs

Haha, ya that's me, the fighting chickens

I had a nice target lined up for this morning, but pablo hit that same target twice before morning and so I was looking quickly for a new target and I thought I found a great one.. I did a quick hit without even spying cuz my kids were already awake and I was rushing to get my turns played so I could go make breakfast, and so I didn't realize I had already hit the tech guy before

Actually my first hit on tech was a retal several weeks ago, and then I just hit him again this morning without realizing it was the 2nd hit

He should have just let it go, or he could have just fired a couple of missiles.. but he decided to send a lot of missiles which will definitely be looked at an as over retaliation and an act of war

Yeah my next farmer will be much different than my first

It was a huge struggle to get enough networth to avoid becoming a land farm as a dictator farmer without a tech start and with 90 buildings per turn early, that's for sure

Yeah the food market sure also slows right down when there is no oil, as do the military markets I would guess

Maybe dictator wasn't the right choice for farmer and fascist farm/oil is the way to go next time I try a farmer

I think it depends on your strategy, but if there is no oil for sale at all and 30 days still left in the round it is likely a good idea for a farmer, indy or casher to build some rigs anyways

Yeah that was me likely selling you those, I thought I could try to drive the price down by selling some batches at 38-37 for a few days which I thought would then cause other farmers to sell privately and decrease the market supply and then we could get the price to spike up

My plan didn't work because the demand is actually a lot greater the last few days and I basically just cost myself money selling bushels to stockpiling techers, whoops!
