A-rod- gdi is huge here. Without it you get a handful of players that will stock missiles and drop them on the best countries unprovoked. Everyone gets one hit without opening themselves up to full blown war. I even gave him advice when he messaged me after the first hit that hitting other big countries isn't going to benefit you because they can retal. He didn't listen and hit me a second time so I had to show him 🤷‍♂️

I understand GDI. Blanket protection, but break it when a farm looks like it can't/wont retaliate.

Typically what I do is look at my networth and divide by 4 and try to find a target just slightly larger than that. That way I avoid retaliation and avoid excess building and rebuilding costs.

Like you said, there are no policies on this server.

I was planning on just going all x to test the waters. I'm not a farm though. I tried selling off jets, buying turrets and going back to exploring... ppl just like taking retals I guess though.

That is a strategy some use to get in the top 10 every set. And if you aren't paying close attention selecting targets you may hit the wrong country...I'm speaking from experience there.

You must be new / returning to primary - there's no 72 hour limit on retals. Many people will (and do) go to war on being able to retal all set. I don't go quite so far myself, but yes, a hit 5 days, a week, sometimes longer, are all standard retals in primary.

Edit: more importantly, if you're breaking GDI on a capable player, you should be prepared for a high possibility of a war, where you will take the brunt of a first strike.

It’s absolutely laughable that you think people being able to retal a hit on them as the reason the game is dying. There’s a lot of reasons why the game is dying, but that ain’t one of them.

Been gone 11 years, so swear all you want, this is the first time i've had this discussion. Regardless of how this is currently done, I think it's rediculous. You're best off running a tech start storing money and waiting to be farmed so you can hit 1k retals a week or 2 later...

What advertising has this place done? I see a lot of people talk about it dying but haven’t seen anyone mention how new players are recruited. Long ago I had some young cat in my clan from Indonesia and he was really smart with tech and we made him our recruiter and I don’t know what he did but suddenly we had an influx of more players than I could keep up with. It was significant, not sure what the kid did but it may make the difference here as well.

I bet it would bring in a lot of new players. Need it to go viral once and people would play, this game is fun and people would play it if they knew about it. I wonder if there’s some advertising companies that would do it for maybe not too much $$$.

I don't believe anyone is touching 60m nw in a no bot set. I'd be REALLY impressed by anyone that can make 40m non bot. NiteIL and AndrewMose breaking 31 that first set was impressive. IMO.

Personally, I'd hit the player if you're looking for a top spot and you were sure the immediate gains were going to be even. Even with the risk of retaliation I'd still consider occassionally choosing a player over a NPC. Bots dont finish #1, players do. All explore can still compete, or minimal grabbing. If anything, all x casher/farmer is safer to play with bots. You're less likely to get mired in the retal war with the same ppl wasting turns trying to keep what you have. I do like the contrast though, and would like to see it mixed up. But if you aren't playing an indy or techer with non bots, you can't even keep up in production retalling. When the other guy is making 2-3 times more than you on equal or less land, eventually he can just keep hitting back and growing.

I guess that's why it tracks networth, clans by avg and total networth, we recognize a top 10 networth, not attacks or wars or anything like that? g=) Do you realize how much of the original earth 2025 was bots?

The addition of bots made strategies not called INDY or Techer capable of competing.

There wasn't war last reset. There was big indy's farming ppl that had stopped playing, and suicider's upset over being grabbed once or twice. I grabbed 7k acres plus buildings. And i only beat the all x farmers because they bloated on too much tech, Their cashflow was higher. This just feels like a fast version of tourney. a few grabs, a few retals, a lot of exploring. g=)

g=) Y'all bombed my buildings to the ground right at the beginning lol! So i figured we were still playing from last set. So i started farming mariokart. And since i spent the whole time in DR... it worked in my favor. I was definitely not the aggressor, this set or last. g:)
