I haven't played in over a year Marshal. Monsters was/is awesome. I was exceptionally happy in Monsters and have absolutely nothing to complain about. I simply got very busy building a new career. Bearly got wet behind the ears and was very successful, very fast. Most of the people I played with seem to have moved to other alliances. I don't have time to put into a warring alliance but miss the game.

So I did this type of debate in high school. Lincoln–Douglas debate (commonly abbreviated as LD Debate, or simply LD) is sometimes also called values debate because it traditionally places a heavy emphasis on logic, ethical values, and philosophy. That being said. After having a discussion about the importance of voting with some friends, I came up with this topic.

Resolved: When in conflict, participating in a broken political system ought to take precedence over political apathy

Using logic, ethical values, and philosophy, do you see this resolution as true or false (affirmative or negative) I am curious to see what others have to think on this. The reason I am suggesting this format to engage this discussion is to hopefully have an intelligent and enlightened discussion about this topic, vs the typical trolling that goes on.

For the record, it is not my lack of talent or ability that has me earning less than 50k, but the lack of jobs in my field, across the board. My degree was earned in NY where there were a lot of jobs in my field, and I ended up in Amarillo, TX where there are virtually no jobs in my field. As of right now due to family obligations, I can not move to where the market is better.

Also, the few jobs in my field that ARE here... only earn between 35-40k, with a ridiculous amount of hours and pressure on top of that. For the pay, it is not worth it to be employed in my field, in this area, unless it was to get years on my resume pending a relocation. As relocation is not an option for the foreseeable 5-10 years, I dont see it as worth it. Not when I can use the fact that I do have a college degree and work my way into another position unrelated to my degree and still earn over 50k, but have a competitive edge in THAT market just because I do have a degree.

Education does not guarantee higher income..... I am college educated and make less than 50k, you also have to take into account what people in that area are going to school for, what is the local market availability for that job, if they are relocating to find jobs relative to their degree, or if they move to an area to obtain said degree, then move back to their original location after obtaining that education.......

Also you can see by these statistics gathered using census data that it isnt until a Masters degree is obtained that the median
income for somebody fully employed in their field earns more than 50k

A life sentence in the United States can go to parole after 15 years. Even though there is no possibility of parole now, in 15 years, that law may change.

The purpose of 7 life sentences is so that if the laws regarding parole change, or if the "no possibility of parole" law gets abolished, he is still looking at 105 years if the law requires him to serve those sentences consecutively. In some cases, they can get the sentences so that they are served concurrently, which means that the sentences for all 7 murder charges are served at the same time. In that case, if the parole laws change, and they are served concurrently, then after 15 years he could be eligible for parole.

The +140 years on top of the 7 life sentences is so that if either of those situations happen, he will be required to serve at least 1/3 of the 140 years IF he maintains good behavior while incarcerated. In the best case scenario, he is looking at ~61-62 years, if the laws change in his favor to allow parole.

Sentences are stacked like that to disallow any legal loopholes that would get him freed from prison before he dies.

Even though i said straight up I did not want to break any rules to get banned, and technically the mods forced me in a position to break rules. Even after saying multiple times I did not want to break any rules, and posting cheating accusations even though everyone knew they were bogus in an attempt to cause as little disruption as possible, and my only recourse was to spam the boards.

In conclusion, this is all your fault, and you should have just given me what I asked for in the first place :-P

Considering when i raged a couple sets ago i only got a 24 hour ban....and this situation was completely preventable, seeing as h4 himself told me to DO something to get banned and i said i didnt want to do anything to violate the rules....i was kinda pushed into that situation, but oh well. Apparently it is a worse offence to participate in some good clean spamming fun for an alliance contest which was made perfectly clear, than to scream and cus and nerdrage on everybody......next time i will just nerdrage i guess.
