I hadn't watched the the episodes of Firefly yet, but I saw the movie at a friends house and borrowed it, not thinking that watching the movie would spoil too much.

Well, I watched the movie so I knew how the whole thing ended before watching any of the episodes lol :(

But yeah, I get a little mad when I think about how such a great show could be canned after 1 season :(

Yeah, I think people would be more inclined to kill it not because it's landgrabbing (rather successfully), but because the alliances who are being hit have no chance in hell at trying to recoup their losses.

So yeah, why risk getting landgrabbed again when you can't get any land back? Just kill it.

When I played SGW, they would have supporter packages.

If you 'donated' 50$ to the game, they would give you a one time gift of x amount of currency ingame, y amount of turns, z amount of untrained units..

Most games have somewhere you can donate to the game/designers and receive a small bonus insite.. I wonder if Pang and Co. have thought about doing this. Since we've had Patron/Platinum Status in the past, I don't think the idea is too outlandish.

edit: perhaps the patron status for EE could also bring a small ingame bonus, instead of just a fancy tag on the forums. Perhaps a small % bonus to BPT, income, warfare %, ect would be small enough to not unbalance the game, but does allow those who donate to receive a small thank you
