i usually stop grabbing around turn 1200 (this is totally arbitrary, i have no idea if this is optimal), explore/build until i have about 4-500 turns left, then hit the cash button with the rest of my turns. the tricky party is figuring out how much money you need to stock up to finish playing out your turns

was playing super tired and accidentally double tapped someone. got suicided which cost me the chance to go for the three peat but i probably wouldn't have beat whoever got #1 anyway

i was banana hammock, got grabbed for over 5k acres during the set but luckily barely squeezed out the win!

yes, there's definitely more laffers grabbing than usual

yup! makes me happy when people know the reference. my gf and i named our dog sweet dee, though we just call her dee. if we had gotten a male dog he would have been named charlie

the 1 grab 1 nuke policy makes no sense. what would even be the point of grabbing? everyone would just go all-explore

btw, bore, on eestats when you click on top ten countries, country is spelled "conutry"

i was sweet dee. it was my first time playing CI and it's definitely an overpowered strat for express, imo. i think 35m nw is very doable and i don't think any other strat can come close to that

i don't want to press F5 and risk a second attack being sent out

ugh, copy/paste doesn't work very well here but i think the display was really weird because of the drought occuring

i logged into my alliance/express countries after over 18 hours using my phone and didn't get my 6 free bonus turns

fwiw, i spent between $3-4b on the pdm fiasco and then still got ab'ed :P

i didn't even grab the country that suicided me. must be friends with one of the top players that really wants to win

i think i did pretty well considering this is my first real set in about 7 years. i messed up destocking pretty badly (as i had predicted) and left about 3 days worth of private market buys untouched. also thought the set ended yesterday lol

have to hand it to highrock. despite having double his land, he still finished 13m nw ahead of me

hmm, i was 30m nw. tried something super risky and it didn't work out. so basically i went full mbr then didn't resell a single unit. no idea how i still managed to finish t10. starting to get the hang of this server, i'm coming for you next set helmet!

i wish chewi had told me he was gonna AB you guys. i was sitting on 41 missles and 37 of them were defused by the time i logged in :(

when you mess up while putting up goods on the public market (i.e. trying to put up 6,000 turrets when you can only put up 5,000), the rest of your goods are put on the market while your turrets aren't.

this also happens when you try to price something too high. i tried to put up turrets for $500 because i didn't want them to sell, while at the same time putting up bushels for $39. the bushels were put on the market while the turrets didn't causing me to waste an extra turn.

can this be changed so nothing is put up in these situations so we don't have to waste an extra turn?

i understand if nothing is done about the first situation since it's your own fault, but the second one should at least be fixed. or at least post somewhere what the max public market prices are for each category

i never grabbed fire, just got topfed by them twice. i didn't say i got topfed more than you, just that i also got topfed

and you're right, i didn't have more land than you right before the pdm farm chat, but we were trading off on having the land lead throughout the set before the chat (with mostly you being ahead). anyway, we're on the same team here. i just wanted to clear up that you weren't the only one that didn't get retaled from the midfeeding

i didn't get retal'd while we were midfeeding. i just got topfed a bunch depsite having 2-3x your def and slightly less land (i have no idea what people were thinking lol). and i was fatter than you when we farmed pdm but i teched like 400k sdi and spent $2b on defense so they wouldn't target me :)

it would be pathetic if LT didn't win now, there isn't even anyone who can come close to him
