I can't estimate what other players do with the general spy report. I can guess looking for targeting. My childhood memories of Super Metroid weren't the best (Super Metroid came out when I was really young) But I started downloading emulator/roms later when I was about 15 and Super Metroid is/was one of the best games ever made. IMO!
