heh, its funny to see some of the names in here, who happened to play in SKA for a bit, and weren't even in the better half of that clan=). Perhaps just an indicator of how good SKA is but also I think some names don't belong here at all:)

BTW raheel did a lot of sketchy stuff, but he was a very good netter and hasn't been mentioned yet.

He was a good netter due to sketchy stuff ;) I could win this game every set doing the stuff half the people mentioned here did -_-

Raheel was solid without the sketchy stuff, probably not good enough for best ever, but worth a mention.

Having played with a good chunk of people listed in this thread, and directly alongside cm and aqua, I'd say blade (not the loudmouth one on AT) was the best pure netter that I've played with.

based on jofel's shocking disclosures, i think we need to divide this between those who used performance-enhancing drugs and those who didn't.

Assassin... I'm not too sure if it is performance enhancing for everyone... :-)

And Hash was indeed a wonderful netter as well. Good one Headhunter.

I mentioned him about 2 pages ago, along with TMAC, en4cer, and DangerousDan.

There were a lot of really good netters on the tourney server - but they never had to deal with server politics, so I don't think they counted. However, many of them did contribute a ton of netting theory.

I'm curious, I know everybody used TC's casher start up for years, but I never heard much about him as a netter. Was he a good netter or just a strat wonk?

he knew all the formulas though.

TC had obvious landfarms the one set I played in LaF, we are talking like 5 years ago now...

BobbyATA Game profile

I mean it was sketchy, I remember bringing it up to one of the leaders and being told that it was pretty common for TC to have sketchy grabs... so I guess in theory he was just lucky every set, but it seemed to be the assumption was he wasn't 100% legit, but people kind of let him do his thing...

i never saw him netgain when he put t10s. when i was Don last time (before coming back) he was a new-ish member.

but he did know all the formulas in the game tho

jackwong, MM, Kari, hao2, 7th, cm

Lotsa notables... I've played with so many great netters.

tmac, trep, raheel, dece, SS, Elliot

I consider Bobby and Slagpit very solid as well. I could go on and on. I've been lucky enough to watch a lot of guys over 14 years in a lot of different alliances, including The Club and SKA which were just a collection of really elite dudes.

It's fun seeing them in big groups..

ie: I remember Monks, and off the top of my head we had.

ACCI, Ronnie, Chump, Ichitaka, Hao2, 7th, Beerman, Mob, Scarface, En4cer, Allman, Alan, Diety, Hanlong, MM, H4, Ozzite, SMz, Thingfish, Valmont, Mist, Marty, Castejon, and a bunch others I'm forgetting.

SL/Genesis were much the same.. and then there's LaF that's been constant for the last 13 years.

I'm sure he does londwell.

Elliot was good. He's one of those guys that messed around a lot and rarely cared to play up to his potential. There are a lot of those guys :P

Kinda like what Brink said... lotsa guys just never really cared to set their mind to it.

I am a little late here..but here goes...(biased towards evo, since i have only observed these guys up close)

best overall netter: tmac
best grabber: lenshark, diez, osso
best formula/optimisers: qzjul/slagpit
best retired asses: trep, Secretsquirrel, raheel, mehul?, sleepy, mick

many others in evo are generally bloody consistent above average netter. of course, there are many great people out there like
Canterbury Crusader (CC)
Evolution
