If you want to only play one, Alliance might be a better place for you. The great thing about Free For All is playing multiple countries (of course, maybe you had multiple countries and only have one left alive).
Either way, some people are simply wary of you because a lot of "New Members" on the forums are really just former players who have fluffed up and are trying to sneak into the clans that otherwise wouldn't accept them. I'll give you benefit of the doubt that you're not one of those people.
I'm generally a PANLV guy, although I'm not currently playing, and kemo invited you there. I'd take them up on it. PANLV's got some of the best netters in the game and you could learn a lot from guys like Angryjesus, Juusto, and Bigwiggle.
Most of the other clans I would say are good have already posted their lack of interest here, so I won't go into more detail on other clans you can try. However, one thing that's worth mentioning is that there are unwritten rules to this game. IT's not some plot to make the game harder for new people, it's just that we've all kind of developed rules on how to treat each other so that people can generally get a fair shake in the game if they're genuinely just trying to play and succeed.
The quick primer on this:
All attacks except Standard Strike and Planned Strike, and all spy ops except spy and military spy (and maybe 1-2 others) are generally considered acts of war because they're merely intended to harm another country. There is no gain for the attacker to launch a nuke at another country, unlike a Standard Strike, where land exchanges hands. Since these attacks are considered acts of war, when you use them against established players/clans, they'll probably just kill you.
If you're untagged/a 1-man clan, people will only give you respect if you announce yourself and generally stick to yourself. If you start picking fights with war attacks or excessive land-grabbing, then clans like NBK, TKO, PAN, CC, ICD, etc. will decide it's not worth wasting time trying to contact you because most of the time, untagged players will just suicide (meaning they'll attack hard and fast in a way where they clearly know they're probably going to get killed, so might as well do as much damage as possible), instead of waiting around to resolve matters. Instead of giving the person the heads up that they only have limited time to do damage, most big clans just grab as much land as possible and then kill those countries to minimize the threat.
There's a lot more you'll need to learn, but this is a good start and should help until you get into a clan, whether that's PANLV or another clan, but as I said, you'll definitely be best off finding a clan to join or, if you only want to play 1 country, moving over to alliance, where you'll be on equal footing with everyone else, but can still join a clan and learn from others.
