llaar and DM are still in LaE, but are not leaders anymore, they are just along for the ride

the new president of LaE is Thunder!

i am the new Vice President

and NOW3P will be the new HoW

all 3 of us make up part of what will be our council, as we are moving to that system for more clarity in leadership

we will announce as soon as we have confirmed our selections at hFA and hIA


we hope that you can soon forgive past LaE leaders mistakes, and respect that we, LaE are attempting to move forward with a legit, transparent clan

Lets see what we know of the new leadership

i know nothing of thunder absolutely nothing

but lets see what we know of the new leaders' character from their posts on servers throughout this site

two men who have vowed to overwhelm the Express server with LaE countries are now the number two and number three leaders of LaE in the ffa

see their posts in the express server

if they keep their word the express server will remain a hotbed of LaE clan activity

does that inspire confidence they will clean house?

The number two guy was specifically named by jag in his rant that jag and his friends will continue cheating for years to come
given jag's post on express that he will continue to play should we trust these leaders to report when he resurfaces?
What of their disingenuous claims that he has left the game?
should we trust them not to just act as puppets for llaar?

the number three guy has been the face and main enforcer of clan activity in the express server for six weeks
the number three guy has told us on the express server that he has kept track of every LaE player on express for the last six weeks
coordinting clan activity on an individual server is cheating and the number three guy has been up to his eyeball in it

if the head of war on ffa is the face of LaE on express should we believe there will not be clan activity on that server?
Now3P has stated that twenty LaE members playing in unison on an individual server does not constitute clan activity

that matters to ffa players because it reflects negatively on their character and honesty

If you want to become familiar with fordie and NOW3P see their numerous posts on the express server
you will not be filled with confidence that they will clean house

it is distressing that on the very day that they assume power in LaE they vow to organize clan activities on Express

The leaders of the other clans on both ffa and alliance should hold a conference to determine how to handle the next LaE cheating scandal; sooner rather than later,

I've been posting on these boards for near 10 years, cupcake - no need for folks to "become familiar with me". I became HoW about 3 hours ago, and haven't even officially accepted the job yet....I had had other plans, but I've been asked to step up to help some friends out of a pickle.

My apologies that so many LaE players like playing express. I'll ask them to quit immediately. Should be a real fun server with 70 active countries on it, huh?

Thunder is one of the games best leaders, I see no reason why he can't turn this around.

snawdog: I don't see the relevance of your question. DM, taking no part in our leadership, will have no power making decisions on LaE's behalf. Our path and actions will be entirely up to the new leadership.

Edit: To make it more clear. If any player wants to commit to cheating, they will not be in the need for a site to do so. Thus, I find the question entirely irrelevant.

One more thing: Having cheated in the old game, though not for the last 4-5 years (at least) I know fairly well you do not need any fancy site to do so. A piece of paper, or notepad is more than sufficent to track whatever you need to remember...

DM is still the site admin, but he has given us his word that he will not cheat again. i tend to trust him

if he is caught, or suspected of cheating again, we will move back to boxcar

As many times as it takes Some Guy, we love the site that was made for us and don't want to abandon it unless we absolutely must. I trust DM not to repeat the same mistakes or create new ones either for that matter. He is a friend to me and I don't abandon my friends. IF he wasn't my friend I wouldn't have stayed behind to help rebuild LaE and yes, its what we're trying to do. This whole scandal has hurt LaE both inside and out. mrford, the people who we choose to help us lead LaE, and myself are all committed to try and right the wrongs that were done both in our relations with our friends outside our tag and with the server in general.

I once heard a story of a man that went to his refrigerator, opened it and grabbed a gallon of milk only to find it was rancid and spoliled..after smelling it he immediately placed it back in the fridge thinking/hoping that maybe after several months sitting in there it possibly would get better..

I truley hope that this is not an appropriate alalolgy for LAE

Some Guy - we trust our friends. DM is a good guy, and he wants what's best for LaE. Even if his efforts this set were misguided, I do believe his intention was to protect LaE'ers - of course we'll be keeping a very close eye on member activity in the coming sets to make sure there's not more of this going on though. Everyone involved in the retooling is involved because they want to see LaE be represented by its members skills, not because of their ability to cheat the game.

snaw - I think it's probably likely that game mods will retain access to the LaE site at least for the immediate future, but I'm not sure exactly what Thunder's thinking is on that. It would be my recommendation, as they have the tools to help us stop this from happening again.

Thanks to all for the encouragement - it's nice to know that folks are willing to acknowledge that a very serious mistake doesn't necessarily mean that things can't be fixed.

(PS - I still haven't officially accepted HoW for LaE) :-P

gregg and anyone else naysaying: I've left LaE, so I'm not just cheerleading for my own clan, but I would hope that you would give them a chance to prove themselves as either good leaders or cheaters before continuing to attack them.

Thunder and co. may very well keep the status quo and there may be more cheating, but they could just as easily turn this around and make LaE into a powerful legitimate clan, as I still would like to believe it was during the first reset (hope I'm not being naive on that one).

The people who cheated are not leading, and two of them aren't even with the clan anymore from what mrford and others are saying.

Let's give them a chance. Don't assume LaE cannot be saved until we see continued cheating.
