it's not "double counting" if the same guy (rollins) goes on the dl twice.

and at the risk of stating the obvious, WHO goes on the dl, and for how long, are much more important than HOW MANY go on the dl. phils' dl list includes two nl mvps, three members of the starting rotation (somehow espn doesn't have moyer listed, so it's really 15 phillies), the closer, and the top two set-up men.

the only key phils who haven't been on the dl are halladay, hamels, werth, and ibanez.

for the braves, hudson, lowe, hanson, wagner, mccann, jones, glaus, and hinske have all avoided the dl. and prado and medlen only went on after we started "arguing" about this.

well, considering atlanta has 25 home games left in the season, end the regular season with a 6 game homestand, all of which are divisional, the first 3 of th4e last homestand being against florida, and the last 3 games of the year being at home, vs philly... yeah I'd say the phils are pretty much boned :P

Damn both the braves and the phillys games last night were both good

Brooks Conrad has to be one of the best pinch hitters in the nl, I mean the dude has 2 grand slams and countless hrs in the flippin pinch role

How bout that game yesterday afternoon against the stros! Old Wagner blew yet another save to take it into extra innings and I guess it pissed the braves off. Their bats came alive in a big way with one out in the top of the 10th. They scored 6 runs including a grandslam by none other than b-mac. Damn I love that guy, best all around catcher in the nl IMO.

2.5 games up on the phillies and we start a series against the struggling dodgers tomorrow, we have dominated them this season, and hopefully that continues so we can gain some breathing room in the division

Yeah, that blows, but infante is hot as fluff right now, and conrad is clutch as it gets, a invaluable pinch hitter, and he even won the game against the stros where he was put in for chipper

while I love chipper, it's not as big of a blow as ppl are making it out to be, because chipper sits out half the season anyways on old man injuries.

good trade on the braves part IMO, hopefull his back heals in time for him to play this weekend

On a related note, the phillies just won't fall back damnit! Over the past 10 games, the braves are 8-2, which is spetacular, problem is the phillies are 7-3 over the same streatch, so over the span of a week and a half, the braves have only pulled an extra half game ahead.

Guess the braves didn't like losing to the cubs yesterday, just handed them a 16-5 assbeating. Heyword was clearly the player of the game

infanti also had 2 HR and there was some really entertaining base running by the braves in this game. It was a really fun game to watch.

try to run and hide from it all you like, but the braves are baseball's answer to the minnesota vikings and the buffalo bills. and i wouldn't say that the 96 year thing was the "only difference;" the fact that the ATLANTA braves have only one title also warrants mention. btw, if you're claiming the milwaukee braves' title, why not the boston braves' title as well?
