Apparently I did a TMBR switch without going T.

Yer I was rushed in the last hour and did like 5 mistakes. Also losing like half my stockpile doesn't help.

Why is anyone surprised a techer won this? A techer has the highest $$ earnings per acre, and normally other strats have to get almost 2x the land to get the same NW. Since land is the competition rule limit, it reasons to follow that techers win by default.

Actually techers don't make THAT much more in express since Tech is usually capped at around 2500 per point in most sets. That's a fairly low amount across the board.

I thought I had a fair chance till someone hit me :P.

Even at $1800 tech prices, it still makes more $ per acre per turn, assuming you tech 95% of your turns.

I'm honestly surprised every participant didn't tech. The craziest thing though is that CX was the only demo. Wtf, isn't it going to come almost entirely down to market play in a 999-acre game? How can you not go Demo?

ya the contest was a shame. .. I tech started easy to get max bus/res military and agri. Came in at 11k bushels per turn then I was reselling food buying at 31-35 and selling at 45 on saturday. I lost a ton of NW killing 162 when I jumped defense to avoid him taking my cash....

Those idiots hitting the 999A countries ruined it, IMO. I dont think there was one country who wasn't hit by 129 or 162.

just call it a pioneer run, now you know to get spies and minimal defence to make it work. i think ZT got hit the least, though he didnt do much either. he wasn't in GDI and had significantly more defense than the other guys.

I wouldn't mind, though it's just going to be who runs the best 999 acre demo techer, given that's the highest production and you'd need to play the market. (Any challenge that limits the acreage, is almost always gonna be a demo techer challenge.)

I also wouldn't mind doing like the tyr casher challenge again - it was painful but at least there are more degrees of freedom on how one would play it vs 999 acre challenge.

Or best dictator finish. lol That could be fun too.

Question can I steal a kill, if I see a player in the news getting pounded down to losing 5-7 population per turn. This is a sure easy kill at this point. But I have been purpled enough to be reluctant to do this? I don't accept allies in
