Day 1: I left my flat provided by the course. I had to find new accommodation or sleep on a bench. I decided I didn't want to sleep on a bench, because it was raining. I found a place on the outskirts with the help of my Russian friend and her satellite navigation. When I went to receptionist I found out that she only spoke Czech and German, and didn't accept cards. After an hour of using an online translator and scraping together money, I booked a private room for a week. I then spent a day with my Russian friend before escorting her to the airport and walked home in the dark.
Day 2: On Sunday I decided to get a proper sleep for the first time in a month. I then laid around until I got bored and decided to venture out. While at a tex-mex an American man approached me and asked me if I was German. I said, no I come from a place near Manchester and he replied I've only ever been to London. He said London shocked him, because it was controlled by the blacks. He said that these were not integrated Indians, but people who had been on elephants 3 weeks before and they plotted to kill all the white people in England. It took me about 10 years to convince myself that all Americans were not insular racists as depicted on tv; but after this encounter it will take another 10 years. He then left me and wished me a good day. Next, I went shopping in Lidl. The first thing I noticed was that people shopped right to left! Crazy! Unfortunately, the guy at the counter also knew no English and it took me three minutes to convince him to give me a shopping bag, which then split on my way home. I arrived home safely and ate some snacks.
