Cumorah I don’t think I’ll play any future sets

Seems bogus that a country you spent time on every day for over a month can just get deleted without warning for something that is such a grey area

It’s not like I said, “hey guys, 10 mil jets breaks country number xyz”

I didn’t say anything that would cost anyone a turn to find out, I just presented strategic recommendations to my allies as well as someone who I caught spying me

I don't think messaging people to team up on someone is a grey area, given past decisions on this server. It should be obvious by now that this is not acceptable.

That sounds like collusion to me. You cannot team up or encourage attacks, even with allies. Best to say nothing. I’m sure you’ll be back!

Agree. I was caught a few times and learnt to just never say anything or be involved in any communications. I think it makes this server more unique and interesting to play.

There is absolutely nothing that I said should have been grounds for deletion

There are players right now chatting with one another on discord who are sharing info and sharing spy ops, it happens every round and will continue to happen. There are players who play together in clans on other servers who work together on this server and share info, but I am not one of those players.

All that I did was point out a reckless player to my allies and say, “hey if I were you I’d hit him before he hits you”. I didn’t say, hey he’s all jets, or has x number of turrets or x number of spies. I didn’t say anything against the rules at all in my opinion, I actually checked the rules frequently and check the wording to make sure I am compliant in all that I do

There is nothing that I said that should have resulted in my country being deleted and anyone saying otherwise is a liar

I did not say anything that would even be considered remotely close to sharing info

So no, I won’t be back

If I say, “hey I need you to hit x country, you can break with y amount of jets”

I thought that was a different thing than saying for example

“hey there is a reckless player and if I were you I would hit him before he hits you”

Or if I say to my defensive ally, “hey if I were you I’d hit x just based on the number of turrets you’ve lost defending me”

Also, just as an fyi for everyone out there

I reported a player for swearing at me in an ingame message and I see that he’s not been deleted.

Swearing in an ingame message is grounds for deletion according to the rules, however the rules were not applied in this case which is interesting

A few months ago I had a player sending me death threats and saying he was going to find me in real life and kill me and I reported that player and he was not deleted either

This shows a very inconsistent double standard where the rules are not applied when I am being harassed but on the flip side I get deleted for something that was not harassment, swearing or sharing info

Why would anyone continue to play a game where they are not treated justly and the rules are not applied fairly to all players

According to the new rules you could be deleted for a post like this Cumorah, but don’t worry if you make death threats and swear at other players you’ll be just fine :)

Sorry Rocky, I'm with the others here, that's not a grey, it's pretty cut and dry, you can't advise anyone to hit anyone else, simple as that.
In regards to death threats, I'm really sorry that happened, and we need to rid that kind of toxicity from the game, deletions for that behaviour is generally strictly enforced, as is swearing in an in game message, I would PM a mod about it.

The appeals process is not done here on this thread. I do believe there is an ingame option for that. You can also talk to the mod in question on insite message or in discord DM.

Trying properly to explain yourself to the mod, in a private setting will give you a better chance of a successful appeal. Please try and do that Rocky, and everyone else who get deleted or find reason for mod action. These threads are not the proper venue for it.

You can't expect a public debate about something where the facts are not known to anyone to result in a good outcome.

Gerdler I would agree with your message 100% if there was an actual appeal process in place that was transparent and honest.

Also it would make sense if communication was made to the player about what is happening and why instead of just a silent deletion with no contact and no explanation

Feeling like you’ve been immediately dismissed without communication or explanation is what leads players to the forums for discussion

I would love to post the messages that I sent to my allies and allow others to have all the facts and decide for themselves, that would be great

Sadly there is no fairness or equal application of the rules in a game like this

Here is something that can be debated

I think there needs to be a better process in place for deletions

There should be a warning message for a first offence as an example

At the very least there should be communication about what is happening and why

The appeal should actually get a response instead of a silent dismissal

I also don’t think something like this warrants a country deletion at all, that would be like if you got a tripping penalty in hockey and your team had to forfeit the game

I don’t have to wonder why this game is slowly dying with less than 100 players worldwide, the actions of the mods intentionally drive players away and make players feel unwelcome and not valued

Just saying that IF there is grounds for getting reinstated that is the way to go about it.

I actually thought you could suggest / misdirect people via in-game messages, with the idea that people don't know if you're lying or not anyways (though I don't), but it's always been a gray area, and we definitely see people completely avoid any semblance of it (I've had allies who won't even tell me if they're gearing up for war so I can find a new one because they don't want that to be grounds for deletion). That said, from the stickied thread on the rules, it's a lot of judgment calls and appealing in-game seems reasonable in this case. I guess for the future, either say nothing, or a simple statement of fact "they just attacked me and dropped the land, wowz0r."

It's a shame though, because you were looking really good and I was wondering who you were.

Sharing ops and break info is not necessarily a prerequisite for breaking the coordination rule. You asked players for help hitting someone on a solo server. This is not a new interpretation of the rule.

In regards to message reporting, the person you were antagonizing for days through messenger was given a warning. For me, I chose to do a warning given the context of all exchanged messages between you two and because the player had no prior warnings or deletions for ingame messages. In other cases, I may make the determination that a deletion is warranted at the start. I can't speak to your second example from a previous round since I don't recall being involved in reviewing that one.

As far as server specific, it literally just comes down to not telling someone to hit someone else, it’s not that complicated.

Apparently this is against the rules but for some reason new players don’t seem to get this protection. This is maybe the 6th set in a row. Just to stress the amount of time these goofballs have spent in stalking us.

First off, you’re admitted that the other player did swear at me in ingame messages, but you’re saying that you made a decision not to delete that player despite them committing a clear and obvious rules violation.

While at the same time, you’ve decided to delete my country, when you didn’t have too, for something that I said even though I didn’t harm or harass or swear at anyone.

Also let’s talk about my message to Cumorah. I logged in and saw that he had tried to spy on me for a grab, so I thought he would get a good laugh out of my message. I certainly didn’t think that he would read my message and go straight to the war room and attack glory bowl.

As any decent player knows, you choose your targets carefully and you make your own decisions. If Cumorah decided to spy on glory he would make that decision on his own accord and if he decided to make a land attack he would do that based on the spy report and not based on anything I said.

I think every player who’s ever finished in the top ten knows that another top player is not going to make grabs or take any ingame actions that they don’t want to take.

Also, since you decided to let another player break the rules and get away with it in regards to swearing, you could have very easily also allowed myself to continue playing despite my harmless message.

While on this _team play_ subject in Primary.

Should the server have allies at all? Allies imply some level of corporation among players. Shouldn't that be looked at if absolutely zero corporation between countries is desired?
