yeah,tech prices were still at ~$2000 6+ weeks into the game.

What's the highest NW a non CI has ever finished in Primary? I hope I'm in the top3 =) That said, it's quite impossible to beat a well run CI with other strategies. I just got lucky.

How would max resource decay help to win? I didn't invest a single point in resource decay =)

As what Rob had mentioned, what hurt the techers this round was buying bushels at $60 and selling them at $40. I stopped grabbing approximately 2.5 weeks after some of the big stockpiling techers did. By that time, they probably had 300m bushels and I had none, but it helped that I was 20-25m nw ahead of the big stockpiling techers. It also helped me greatly that when I stopped grabbing, the stockpiling techers were dumping their bushels for $40-$42, which I prompty swept up. Of course, Trep did his part by running out of food =)

equilibrium got to 20k acres pretty early, tough to beat that. He was grabbing a few countries more than a few times, but they didn't seem to be able to get to him. Lucky fellow =)

We get about 12 extra turns per day due to the bonus, which will lead to 360 more turns than usual. It's almost guaranteed that the NW record will be broken this set. And equilibrium will win without a doubt.

The food market crashed much earlier than expected. Probably caused by the techers dumping their bushels to make their jump. That's the only positive thing for cashers this set.

I agree with bakku. I realize that this set. No matter how well you play a casher, it's going to be hard to win an equally well played CI. As such, I'm running a CI next set lol

wow, this brings back old memory. I played for a bit back in 1998-2002 (under a different alias) and then from 2008-2009 (using my current alias). It was so much harder to get a top5 in tournament game A then compared to now lol.

I played these countries:
June 1999 - Noriko 4th
