Was bored and wanted to try something new. It was a gamble for very high food price when I destock (prices did go up to $65 for a couple of hours and I was optimistic, at that point of time). If I had won the bet, I would have had a shot at winning. It never did turn out the way I expect, I sold my food for ~$46 average.

I'm guessing the rubbish prices are affecting all your finishes. Doesn't seem like any indy is finishing above 120m.

Isn't it easy to verify? 55.2 days have passed...how many turns do you have in total at this point?

Before the changes, most people get 6 bonus turns a day, giving 54 turns on average a day. So that means 2981 turns or so at this point of the set. If the sum of your total turns spent and turns on hand exceeds 2981, it just means you are getting more turns than before. Of course the 6 bonus turns a day before the changes is an assumption, you need to adjust that assumption to your own playing habits to get an accurate comparison.

go look back at your old countries' status and see how many turns you took. Compare that to what you are going to be taking this set and let us know if it's more =P

Most people will be getting on average about 1 extra turn per day due to the change. That's 60 more turns compared to previous sets.

I always make it a point to check if my target is a techer if I'm still grabbing after day 30. If the target's a techer, I check how long they have been stocking. If they haven't been stocking, I will go for it. If they have been stocking, then I would think twice. If they have been stocking for a long time, I will probably think thrice =P

We are working on the assumption that people have calculated whether it's worth it or not to topfeed. Many a times, people don't. They just do it out of gut feel. Maybe this top feed was intentional, maybe it isn't. We won't know until he or she comes here to talk about it.

My guess - a stocking demo got irritated by the increasing food price and decided to buy out the oil market causing it to spike as well.

Goods takes 4-6 hours to reach the market on primary.

Congrats LATC, nice win. Though, I think you were too greedy with your grabbing hence resulted in the 2 retals on you. You also jumped too early IMO. You could have finished way higher.

It was a fluff tech set (too many big and semi big techers and not enough other big countries to support the market). I gave up the trying to win with a month left in the set lol.
